Honestly, this is a pretty poor picture from a technical viewpoint. It’s really grainy and it’s a severe crop from another image. Considering what I had to go through to get this picture, it’s a triumph.
This shot was taken out the window of our car as we braved three hours of traffic in Bangalore to get from the Taj Residency to Electronic City. Our driver knew a shortcut to get us there faster – so he zipped down some side streets and through a street market. I was fascinated by the sites and rolled down the window to get a better look – and a better picture.
That was when I was greeted by the most awful smell I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. I’d say it was a cross between dumpster juice, vomit, rotted flesh, and garbage. Apparently every bit of unsold food got thrown in the gutter to rot. My gag reflex almost caused me to drop the camera when taking this picture.
So – enjoy it in all of its low fidelity glory – without the smell-o-vision.
