I’m sure this statue has a name – I just don’t know what it is. What I do know is that it’s the Olympic Logo statue that is located at the peak of Whistler Mountain. Whistler is going to be the site of all the skiing events for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics – so you’ll see this dude a lot in about a year.
I took this shot over the weekend when I was out for a day of skiing with my lovely wife Heather. It’s at the top of the “Peak to Creek” run – and I pulled over just long enough to snap a couple of shots with my Canon G9. Of course, I realized after I took the shot that there was the biggest little fingerprint ever on the lens. Thanks William!
