More faux tilt-shift tomfoolery here. Sure, the right way to do it is courtesy of Mr. Scheimpflug – but you can fake it with Photoshop. This is an actual picture of the Charles Bridge in Prague that was digitally manipulated using selective blur to make it appear as a miniature – to great effect.
To do this “correctly”, I’d need the the Canon TS-E 90mm Tilt-Shift lens – which would have run me more than the entire cost of my camera rig at the time this picture was taken.
Vital Stats: Canon 350D w/Canon 17-85mm @ 85mm ISO 200, f/10.0, 1/200 sec.
