This is the result of having less than five minutes to shoot in a location. You kind of have to just go with what you know. We got to Point Loma in San Diego at about 4:45 PM only to find that the entire area closed at 5 PM. We had about enough time to park the car and run up to the lighthouse. We convinced the Ranger that even though we were setting up tripods, we’d be out of there within five minutes. Since it closes at 5, it would be tough to get a perfect sunset shot unless it’s done near the winter solstice.
