North Maui Morning

Powered By SmugWP

This is a real “early bird gets the worm” kind of shot.  I got up at about 3:30 in the morning and drove an hour down the Hana Highway to get here before the dawn broke.  Even then, I nearly killed myself getting in position on the slippery rock.  I spotted this location on the Keanae peninsula the night before as we were driving to Hana.   I made it just in the nick of time before the sun came up.

Astute readers will recognize this as a companion shot to an earlier posted picture.  Same location, slightly different framing.  I like ’em both.

Vital Stats: Canon 40D w/Canon 10-22mm @ 22mm  ISO 100, f/22, 8 sec.
